就读于港中大（深圳）经管学院的朴珉俊，他的足迹从韩国釜山到成都，从美国加州到英国伦敦。是什么原因让他选择了港中大（深圳）？本期文案，我们一起来看看这位2017级韩国国际生的故事。

Minjun Park (朴珉俊) is a freshmen of the School of Management and Economics(SME), CUHK-Shenzhen. The Busan, Korean native had studied in America for two years after moving to Chengdu, China with his father. It was his experience of joining an exchange program in UK that further broadened his horizon. In 2017, he came to CUHK-Shenzhen, seeking for a university that offers him an international learning environment with a strong combition of the East and the West. 

He actively joined various activities of the University and Muse college. As the first semester has come to an end, he has found a sense of belonging and is excited for the future ahead of him.

I  was born in Busan, South Korea. I moved to Chengdu, China, with my father as he moved there for his job. I attended Chengdu International School (CDIS) during my time there, and that experience made me want to live the rest of my life in a global environment. After I graduated from CDIS, I went to the United States to attend Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

During my two years in Pepperdine University, I learned a lot of different things from academics to culture. I also had an opportunity to spend a semester in London, discovering myself and this world on a different continent. Through my time in the United Kingdom, I learned that there was so much more to this world than the United States, and decided to take on a new challenge. I found CUHK-Shenzhen as I was searching for a more international experience combining both Western and Eastern education and philosophy. I can practice my Mandarin Chinese again and continue my education in a Western environment.

The classes here are wonderful. The professors are really motivated to help the students in academic learning and are willing to do anything to help us. Besides, we have a lot of student clubs to help us learn and enjoy the things we love.

Also, the campus life of the University helped me to settle in here well. There are many different clubs that provide me a chance to do what I want inside the campus. I‘ve joined the Student Union which gives me a leadership experience and I'm a member of Model United Natioms in which I have learnt about International Relations. I am also involved in the soccer club and music union. Participating in various student clubs offers me some experience that I can share with other fellow students. 

The University continuously provides students opportunities to learn outside the classroom through lectures and activities. Although I lived in China for a long time before, it was my first time to surround myself with Chinese. I have picked up some Chinese for daily life but it's not enough for in-depth conversation. So I was a little afraid of coming to this school at first. However, my Chinese friends welcomed me to their community and spoke English to me whenever I can’t speak Chinese. Also, I was able to make friends with other international students. International student community not only hung out with each other during the school year, but also supported each other during hard times. It’s good to have two communities that you can be part of as it really opens up your worldview and broadens your horizon.  I’m glad I've made the choice of becoming a student of CUHK-Shenzhen and I'm excited for the future ahead of me.‘’
