喜讯 | 港中大（深圳）英语辩论队获第 22 届“外研社·国才杯”全国大学生英语辩论赛华南总决赛一等奖

港中大（深圳）英语辩论队成员袁珮恩（2016级经管学院、思廷书院）和周伟贤（2017级经管学院、思廷书院）在港中大（深圳）通识教育部 Dr. Lucas Scriptor的指导下，获得第 22 届“外研社·国才杯”全国大学生英语辩论赛华南总决赛一等奖的荣誉。

本届赛事于 2019 年 4 月 12 至 14 日在广东省汕头大学举行，共吸引了来自华南地区各大高校的104支参赛队伍。比赛采取英国议会制，每场比赛由四支队进行角逐，一方阵营有两支队伍，一队两名队员。正反双方形成上下议院。进行观点的激烈交锋。

辩论题目包含社会方方面面的主题，包括社交媒体、经济学、刑事司法系统等，以及与时事紧密相连的问题，包括网络直播问题、食品安全问题、退休制度问题等，对辩手的思辨能力提出极大挑战。

面对华南赛区实力派辩手们，袁珮恩和周伟贤两位辩手发挥稳定，在六场循环赛中，斩获四场比赛第一名的成绩，最终获得华南总决赛一等奖的荣誉。袁珮恩和周伟贤两位辩手以总分排名第五的成绩晋级全国总决赛，并获得“最佳辩手”的荣誉，得到了多名评委的称赞。袁珮恩和周伟贤两位辩手及指导老师 Dr.Lucas Scriptor将于五月前往北京参加全国总决赛，与全国各地顶级辩手一较高下。

赛后感言

 袁珮恩

It was an exciting event for me. We met good friends, conducted good teamwork and we have achieved a good final result. Debate is so interesting that I have been always learning new things from it through the three years. Not only did I acquire new debating skills, but I also realized that keeping calm and concentrated is a key to success. Though we received poor results in the first few rounds, we kept calm and always tried to do our best, and finally we turned the game around. I really appreciate the valuable advice from our fabulous coaches, Kevin and Lucas. We hope to achieve better performance in the nationals!

The FLTRP regional qualifier is an important debate tournament that decides who will advance to the national tournament in Beijing. The representatives of the CUHK-Shenzhen English debate team, Vincent Zhou and Ellen Yuan, did an impressive job ranking among the top teams of the tournament, qualifying for the national tournament, and winning speaker awards. Congratulations! Keep up the good work!
