10月14日，理工学院新能源科学与工程专业的师生乘坐大巴前往机场、登上前往北京的航班，这次令人期待的学术与文化交融的旅途在大家的期待中正式开启！
October 14, teachers and students from SSE boarded the bus to the Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport and caught the flight to Beijing, this anticipated journey of academic and cultural fusion has officially begun!
Day 1
HAVE A TOUR
落地北京的第一天下午，同学们进行自由活动。有的同学参观故宫，感受百年皇家的历史；有的同学打卡北大，体验未名湖夜游的奇妙谧静；有的同学则与在北京的故交小酌，庆祝这一场胜利的会师……红墙金瓦的紫禁城，体现了古代帝王的庄严与威严；未名湖的湖水清澈宁静，周围绿树成荫，花草点缀其间，承载着学子们无数的情感与回忆；飘香的烤鸭味从饭店溢出，伴随着烤制时噼啪噼啪的声音，令人食指大动，觥筹举箸间，凝系起新的情感纽带……同学们充分利用了第一天的时光，领略了京城的风土人情。
On the first afternoon upon landing in Beijing, students indulged in various leisure activities. Some toured the Forbidden City, immersing themselves in the centuries-old royal history; others visited Peking University, experiencing the serene magic of a night boat ride on Weiming Lake; while a few met old friends in Beijing for a celebratory drink, marking a triumphant reunion. The Forbidden City, with its red walls and golden roofs, radiating the dignity and majesty of ancient emperors. Weiming Lake is a haven of still, clear waters, surrounded by verdant trees and dotted with blooming flora, bearing countless memories and sentiments of students past. The tantalizing aroma of roast duck wafts from the restaurant, accompanied by the sizzling sounds of its preparation, tempting the palate. Amidst the clinking of glasses and the raising of chopsticks, new emotional bonds are formed. The students made the most of their first day, deeply savoring the cultural and scenic tapestry that Beijing has to offer.

pilgrimage sites for domestic students
— Tsinghua University
清华大学校园占地广阔，环境优美。其中最著名的建筑是主楼和图书馆，主楼是清华大学的标志性建筑之一，象征着学校的历史和精神。有年代感的图书馆则体现了清华大学的发展历程和丰富的校史文化。
Sprawled across vast grounds, Tsinghua University boasts a campus of unparalleled beauty. Its Main Building and Library stand as iconic symbols – the former, emblematic of the university's rich history and enduring spirit, while the latter, steeped in antiquity, chronicles Tsinghua's evolutionary journey and deep-rooted academic culture.
此外，还有水木清华、荷塘月色这样古朴典雅的景观，汇集了中国传统园林的设计精华。在校园参观期间，同学们感受到了清华大学浓厚的学术氛围。学校内设有多个学院和研究机构，培养了许多杰出的学者和科学家。除了浓厚的学术氛围，清华大学校园也注重体育和文化活动。校园内随处可见体育馆、运动场和游泳池，会举办各类比赛和演出。
Furthermore, scenic spots like "Shuimu Tsinghua" and "Lotus Pond in Moonlight" encapsulate the essence of traditional Chinese garden design, exuding an air of timeless elegance. As we strolled through the campus, the palpable academic atmosphere of Tsinghua was undeniable. Home to a myriad of colleges and research institutions, the university has cultivated countless distinguished scholars and scientists over the years. But beyond its rigorous academia, Tsinghua equally emphasizes physical and cultural enrichment. Athletic stadiums, sports fields, and swimming pools dot the campus, hosting a variety of competitions and performances.

在这里进行了跨课题组的学术交流研讨会。在整个研讨会上，来自香港中文大学（深圳）吴辰晔教授课题组和来自北京大学尤鹏程教授课题组的研究生分别介绍了他们的研究成果。
Here, we delved into a cross-team academic symposium. Throughout the session, Prof. Chenye WU from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Prof. Pengcheng YOU from Peking University respectively led their research groups in presenting their latest findings.

非常感谢能有这次北京游学的机会，虽然只有短短两天的行程，但是有机会走近了全国最好的几所大学的校园，并且能听到前沿研究领域的报告，这次活动非常有意义，读万卷书行万里路，多出去走走见识见识，这话说的一点都没有错。

I think this study tour really widen my perspective toward new energy field. During the presentation, I felt like “Oh, turns out new energy is not only about things like solar panel, wind turbines, and other general knowledge, but the term new energy also includes the application of a lot of studies into it, like maybe AI, statistics and many more.
