On January 24th, Ling College hosted a heartwarming event, the "International Student Tea Gathering," at room UB105. The event aimed to foster a sense of community among international students and provide a platform for shared experiences and cross-cultural conversations.

Speech from the Master
Master Prof. LU
The gathering began with a thoughtful address from Professor Lu Zongli，the Master of Ling College. With a genuine warmth, he opened up about his personal journey of studying abroad, shedding light on the myriad challenges and adjustments he encountered. Professor Lu, having traversed the complexities of adapting to a new cultural milieu, imparted invaluable wisdom to the international student community. He passionately urged students to embrace the unfamiliar, stepping boldly beyond the boundaries of their comfort zones. Through this intentional exploration, he stressed, we not only broaden our intellectual horizons but also fortify our personal resilience, a crucial trait in navigating the intricacies of a global community.
吕院长真挚地分享了他个人的留学经历，讲述了他当时在适应新文化环境中所遇到的种种挑战，并向国际学生群体传授了宝贵的经验。他激情洋溢地敦促学生们大胆跨出自己的舒适区，通过有意识的探索，去拓宽知识视野，增强个人的适应能力，而这些正是我们在错综复杂的全球社会中能够游刃有余的重要特质。

The atmosphere was electric as friendships blossomed and ideas flowed freely. The chosen discussion topics—happiness, GPA, self-development, life experiences, and friendships—served as catalysts for vibrant conversations.
In the spirit of cultural exchange, participants shared their unique perspectives on these topics, creating a melting pot of thoughts and insights. Laughter and shared nods of agreement resonated through the room, forming the bonds that are the essence of a close-knit community.

During the tea break, attendees were encouraged to print out photos with memories. Laughter echoed in the room as students, each armed with a piece of their university journey, adorned a communal whiteboard with snapshots that encapsulated moments of joy, growth, and friendship.

This interactive session transformed the atmosphere into a dynamic and engaging space, where the physical act of creating a memory board served as a metaphor for the bonds formed during the event. The board became a vibrant mosaic, weaving together the unique narratives of each participant.
