香港中文大学（深圳）线上教学｜国际生（二）
受新冠肺炎疫情影响，香港中文大学（深圳）于2月17日全面启动线上教学。在读学生通过线上教学平台开启新学期的学习。国际生参加线上教学有哪些体验呢？
来自俄罗斯的Viktoriia，尼泊尔的Sadip，韩国的Sory，以及印度尼西亚的Alicia和Stefanny在本期推文与我们分享他们的体验。
Influenced by COVID-19, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen has started online learning and teaching since February 17th. What do international students feel about this experience?
In the following passage, Viktoriia from Russia, Sadip from Nepal, Sory from Korea, and Alicia and Stefanny from Indonesia will share their experience with elearning.

在俄罗斯国际生Viktoriia眼中，港中大（深圳）对这次疫情突发而导致学期延后的情况处理得很好，实行的线上教学也帮助学生更好地开启新学期的学习。Viktoriia说：“让所有人都满意的方案是很难实现的。对于一些不在亚洲区域的国际学生，包括我，时差问题在所难免。因此，我们学习计划需要做出不小的调整，甚至不得不退掉某些课程。尽管如此，我还是想对我们学校的教授道声谢谢，因为他们能够体会并理解我们的心情，并为了帮助我们解决这个困境，调整了一些已经固定的计划。” 她希望大家等互相帮助共克时艰，努力发现积极的一面是很重要的。她希望同学们以及高考生不要忘记这段时间感受到的关心和帮助，并用自己最好的面貌来面对这个挑战。

From my point of view, CUHK-Shenzhen did a great job of adjusting to this new unexpectedly situation and changed the whole educational system. We all know it’s almost impossible to please everyone. Some international students, including me, who are not from the Asian area, faced severe difficulties with the time difference between China and our current living regions. As a consequence, our academic planning has been seriously changed, and they even had to drop some courses due to this problem. However, I really want to say thank you to professors from our university, because most of them were showing their empathy and making some changes in the schedule to help us overcome this problem. Going through all of this, I clearly understand how important it is to help each other and still trying to find positive sides. I wish any students and pupils who are going to take exams or Gaokao during this year will not forget about the help and care you received, and try to show your best even in this challenging time.

因疫情而开设的线上教学进行得一切顺利，它就像正常的课程，仅是换了媒介。Sadip可以像往常一样举手提问，参与课程讨论。甚至，他躺在床上就可以上课，无需提早冲进教室抢占好位置。若有课上的要点还没领会，他可以通过回看视频来学习。线上教学也有些不足，有时网络连接不稳定会出现技术故障，像是音频中断等问题。总的来说，他的在线学习体验很棒。他希望大家保持安全和健康，直到再次见面。

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the face to face teaching could not be resumed, and it is sad for everyone. However, online teaching so far has been great. It is similar to have a normal class but only via a different medium. I can raise the question, and take part in a class discussion like I used to do. Moreover, I can attend a lecture while I am in my bed, no need to rush to reserve the best seat in the lecture hall. I re-watch the video if I miss something in the class. There is a downside, sometimes there is a technical glitch like audio disruption because of the unstable network connection. However, on the whole, I find the online learning awesome. Most importantly, stay safe and stay healthy until we see each other back again.

来自韩国的Sory更喜欢面对面的授课方式。修读了近一个月的网课，Sory发现了Zoom的很多有趣的功能，包括共享屏幕和切分房间。这让我们仍能问问题、在黑板上写和画，并且开展小组活动。我很感谢仍在认真教学、答疑解惑的老师和助教们。她希望情况好转，我们能够很快在校园见面！

To be honest, I’m not a big fan of online courses. I’d rather take offline courses where I can face the teacher and talk to my classmates sitting beside me. However, the online courses we’ve been having the past few weeks are not as bad as I thought. Zoom offers many interesting features like screen sharing and breakout rooms that allows us to ask questions, write and draw on the board, and hold group activities. I am also grateful to my teachers and TAs who have been working hard to continue their lesson plans and listening to our concerns, stories, and suggestions. Hopefully, the situation improves and we can see each other on campus soon~

当听到大学开启线上教学的消息时，Alicia很开心。在印度尼西亚，她可以在观看录制好的课程视频后，通过线上课程与老师和同学讨论。她觉得这样的讨论方式节省了平常问问题要排队等候的时间。遇到直播教学的技术问题，同学、助教和资讯科技服务处也很快就帮她解决了。
由于网速的原因，她也曾遇到过听不清内容而导致理解偏差的问题。她觉得，线上教学把老师和同学们联系在一起，它所承载的意义还是积极的且不可或缺的。

When CUHK-Shenzhen announces about online learning, I feel so grateful. In offline lecture, it is quite time-consuming for me to ask the teacher after class, because we have to wait for lots of students who are also eager to ask the teacher. When I am unable to watch the video from Panopto, the TA, friends, and ITSO help me solve my problem.
However, in my MGT Class, due to the poor internet connection in Indonesia, when the teacher told my group to be in the deglobalization group, what we heard is our group should be in the globalization group. We cannot notice the difference between “de”, which stands for deglobalization, and “the” in a sentence of globalization.
Together, during this outbreak, students, TA, ITSO, and lecturer make an outstanding impact on online learning. We can because we have each other!

来自印度尼西亚的国际生Stefanny觉得有赖先进的科技，学校在紧急局势中能转变策略实行线上教学。她说：“老师们通过zoom平台实现高效授课；学校的工作人员们通过微信和邮件与同学们保持密切联系，并提供有力的支持。”她也衷心希望大家在特殊时期都能保持身心健康。

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, CUHK-Shenzhen decided that it is best for everyone's safety to not return to the campus until designated time. Thanks to the advanced technology, issues like this are solved by online learning. Since February 17, students have been attending classes through an online platform, Zoom. It is indeed a very efficient and effective way to give lectures and tutorials in the time of the outbreak. The faculty and staff show their support by responding to students' questions and needs through WeChat and email. Let us hope that everyone, including students, faculty, and staff will remain safe and sound.
